It has been washed with soap and water but it has not been cleaned with brass cleaner. The base that rests on the counter is 9.5” wide and 7” deep. Closed it measures 9.5” X 7”. It has 5 adjustable levels. The bar that folds out to hold the book measures 8” long and 1.5” deep. It can be folded flat for easy storage if not in use.
