Fioriware Pie Plate Dish Vintage Ohio Pottery Zanesville American.
There are good memories tied up with every piece of Fioriware in our family. We used to make day trips to Zanesville from Columbus and always loved talking to the ladies at the Fioriware store. We would head straight for the seconds area but also loved perusing the collection pieces. I’m not sure why my mother had this pie dish. I don’t ever remember her baking a pie. Always worried she would screw up the crust, Mom has always been a bar-cookie and brownie baker. This dish could serve many purposes - it would wonderful full of fruit in the middle of your table…or fill it with different types of nuts and crackers - the possibilities are endless. The rim stands about 2.5” high and it’s 10.5” in diameter. It’s in excellent, unused condition. There is one ‘scratch’ in the glaze on the interior about 2” long. It feels pre-fire. The color is a soft, greyish green - seafoam? It’s more accurate in the third photo. I have included a close up picture.
