Fostoria Glass has been known for decades as one of the premier glass manufacturers.  The design on this piece is not only lovely but very unusual.  With a sturdy Octagonal base, the candy dish itself is round with a scalloped edge.  Each panel on the side has a medallion with a coin design displayed.  There are two designs on the coins, one is the American Eagle and the other is a starburst design with a torch.  The cover has a level design with a strong finial.
