A12-651 A12-1741 A12-802 Coil Sensing Refrigerator Thermostat
COOLER THERMOSTAT
This is the only
thermostat
I use on cooler jobs that I have a coil ice-up problem.
It is awesome for all cooler applications as well.
The important thing to know about this thermostat is the sensor or the end of the sensor must be inserted into the evaporator coil, (between the fins) at least 4" in so it can sense the coil temperature not the air temperature.
It is a control that works by sensing the coil temperature not the air temperature.
By doing this it prevents the coil from icing up and allows the temperature to drop as the coil can handle the load.
I always place the probe into the last row of coils leaving the evaporator giving me the whole coil to use.
When this control feels the coil icing up, it turns the compressor off until the coil temperature is 41 degrees thus insuring there is nor ice on the coil.
The range on this control is 15 F to 31 F
The automatic or constant on setting is 41 F.
The capillary tubing is 84" long.
